Starting June 1st, 2009, for each piece of clothing and accessories purchased from Ryann, $1 will be donated to the amazing community garden in Red Hook Brooklyn called Added-Value.
Added-Value began in 2001 to address the need for fresh organic produce in a neighborhood with little access and no farmers markets. With limited healthy food choices this community has with a much higher obesity and asthma rates than average New Yorkers.
Added-Value employs the communities youth, teaches about farming, introduces new vegetables to the community, sponsors a farmers markets and teaches composting. Ryann is proud to sponsor this wonderful organization. We are hoping other neighborhoods are inspired to create similar projects throughout the city
